Your hub says “100W.” Your laptop may get less. Several makers here say so themselves: UGREEN and Anker list up to 85W to the laptop on some models, and Satechi lists up to 80W out. In our view, that line is easy to miss, and it matters if your laptop’s charger is bigger than that (our opinion).
Here are six USB-C hubs from four brands, from a travel dongle to a desk dock, set side by side using what UGREEN, Anker, Satechi and Baseus publish.
Quick picks (our editorial picks, research-based, not test results)
- Best overall: UGREEN Revodok Pro 9-in-1 USB-C Hub. Our pick because it has the fullest spec sheet here: 4K@60Hz HDMI 2.0, 10Gbps USB-C and USB-A, Gigabit Ethernet and SD/TF, with a published size and weight [2]. Mid tier.
- Best budget: Anker 341 USB-C Hub (7-in-1). Our pick because Anker states the power split plainly, 85W to the laptop and 15W for the hub, and adds SD and microSD slots [4]. Note its HDMI is 4K@30Hz [4]. Budget tier.
- Best premium: Baseus 12 in 1 Laptop USB-C Hub. Our pick because it’s the only hub here with HDMI, HDMI and DP outputs plus 3.5mm audio [6]. Baseus says 4K@60Hz needs a DP 1.4 laptop and applies when only one output is in use, and on a Mac all screens show the same content [6]. Premium tier.
How we chose: research-based. We used UGREEN’s, Anker’s, Satechi’s and Baseus’s own US store product pages (cited below). This guide compares six USB-C (not Thunderbolt) hubs from four brands: UGREEN, Anker, Satechi and Baseus. Other brands (for example Belkin, CalDigit and Plugable) are not compared, and each brand sells more hubs than we list. We have not physically tested these hubs. Speeds and wattages are the makers’ ratings. Display output depends on your laptop’s USB-C port.
Which hub fits
- Travel and one monitor: UGREEN Revodok 6-in-1: 4K@60Hz HDMI, four 10 Gbps USB ports, 100W PD pass-through with “up to 85W” to the laptop [1].
- Lowest tier, plain power split: Anker 341 (7-in-1): 85W to the laptop, 4K@30Hz HDMI, SD and microSD [4].
- Smallest with Ethernet: Satechi OntheGo 7-in-1: 4K/60Hz HDMI 2.0, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and microSD, 68.1 g, up to 80W out [5].
- Wired internet and a card reader: UGREEN Revodok Pro 9-in-1: adds Gigabit Ethernet and an SD/TF slot, with 4K@60Hz HDMI [2].
- Two monitors at a desk (Windows): UGREEN Revodok Pro 10-in-1 Docking Station: dual 4K@60Hz HDMI (UGREEN’s product page images, display-mode table and notes: dual 4K@60Hz needs a laptop with DisplayPort 1.4 + DSC; otherwise lower: 4K@30Hz on one or both screens, or 1080p@60Hz on one (Windows, DP 1.4 without DSC) or both (Windows, DP 1.2); on macOS both screens show the same image) [3], Gigabit Ethernet and SD/TF [3]. Mac users get two copies of one screen, not two separate screens [3].
- Three outputs on a Windows desk: Baseus 12-in-1: HDMI ×2 + DP; 4K@60Hz with a DP 1.4 laptop when one output is used; Intel graphics “only extend up to 3 monitors”; on a Mac all screens mirror [6].
- Our take: buy the ports you’ll plug in every day, not the biggest port count. That’s our view, not a test result.

UGREEN Revodok 6-in-1 USB-C Hub: the bag hub
UGREEN lists a 4K@60Hz HDMI output, “2×USB-A + 2×USB-C Gen 2” at 10 Gbps, and 100W PD pass-through that “delivers up to 85W to your notebook” [1]. The cable is a 30 cm integrated braided one, in an aluminium shell [1].
- Good fit: a laptop bag, a hotel desk, one external screen.
- Trade-off: no Ethernet or card reader on UGREEN’s port list [1].

UGREEN Revodok Pro 9-in-1 USB-C Hub: Ethernet and cards
This one has the most detailed spec sheet of the UGREEN hubs here: HDMI 2.0 at up to 4K@60Hz, one 10Gbps USB-C and one 10Gbps USB-A port, two 5Gbps USB-A ports, a 100W charging port, Gigabit Ethernet and an SD/TF slot, in a 114 × 44.5 × 16 mm body [2]. It weighs 207.9 g, per the spec table; UGREEN’s comparison table rounds this to 7 oz [2].
- Good fit: wired internet for video calls, or pulling photos off a camera card. Backing those photos up? See our NAS vs DAS vs external drive guide.
- Trade-off: UGREEN doesn’t say how much of the 100W reaches the laptop [2].

UGREEN Revodok Pro 10-in-1 USB-C Docking Station: two screens
UGREEN lists “Dual 4K@60Hz HDMI Displays,” “Four 10Gbps USB-C and USB-A ports,” Gigabit Ethernet, SD/TF, and “up to 85W pass-through charging via the 100W USB-C PD port” [3].
The fine print is in the page’s images [3]. UGREEN’s display-mode table shows dual 4K@60Hz only with a laptop whose port supports DisplayPort 1.4 with DSC. On Windows, DP 1.4 without DSC gives 4K@30Hz plus 1080p@60Hz, and DP 1.2 gives 1080p@60Hz on both screens. On macOS, anything without DSC gives 4K@30Hz on both. A note image says that on macOS “the display on both external monitors will be identical.” Another says the 10Gbps USB-C data ports “do not support media display and PD charging,” and that the laptop port should be full-function or Thunderbolt 3/4.
- Good fit: a Windows laptop with DP 1.4 + DSC driving two monitors, perhaps on a monitor arm [3].
- Trade-off: on a Mac, both screens show the same image; on laptops without DSC, one or both screens run at lower resolution or refresh rate [3].

Anker 341 USB-C Hub (7-in-1): the plain-spoken budget pick
Anker lists “1 × PD in 100W; PD out for laptop (85W)” and explains that the PD port “supports up to 85W for charging the connected laptop and 15W for powering the hub” [4]. Its HDMI is “4K@30Hz” (HDMI 1.4), the two USB-A ports are 5Gbps, and the USB-C data port is USB 2.0 (480Mbps) [4]. Anker adds: “Media display is only supported via the HDMI port.” [4]
- Good fit: a second screen for documents, plus SD and microSD cards, on a tight budget.
- Trade-off: 4K at 30Hz, not 60Hz, and no Ethernet on Anker’s port list [4].

Satechi OntheGo 7-in-1 Multiport Adapter: Ethernet in a puck
Satechi lists “1 x HDMI 2.0 – Up to 4K/60Hz”, Gigabit Ethernet, SD and microSD readers (“UHS-l, Up to 104MB/s”), two 5Gbps USB-A ports and “1 x USB-C PD – Up to 100W Input and up to 80W Output” [5]. It weighs 2.40 oz / 68.1 g, with a 13 cm host cable that wraps around the hub [5]. Satechi says the PD port “is for charging only — it does not support video output or data transfer” [5].
- Good fit: a travel bag where you want wired internet and a card reader in one small hub.
- Trade-off: up to 80W to the laptop [5], and Satechi says Windows laptops need “Display Output and USB 3.2 Gen 2 or higher for full 10Gbps data and display performance” [5].

Baseus 12 in 1 Laptop USB-C Hub: three outputs, with fine print
Baseus lists “HDMI 1/HDMI 2/DP (resolution up to 4K@60Hz while laptop protocol is DP1.4)”, Gigabit Ethernet, SD/TF, 3.5mm audio and a “USB-C PD Charging Port (100w)” [6]. The fine print matters. Baseus says the three outputs “support 4K60HZ output when only any of them and the other 2 idled,” that “with intel graphics only extend up to 3 monitors,” and that on a Mac “all external monitors will display the same content” [6].
- Good fit: a Windows laptop with DP 1.4 that needs more than two screens, at lower resolutions when all are in use [6].
- Trade-off: Baseus’s own page disagrees on USB speed (“500Mb/s” in the port list, 5Gbps elsewhere), and it doesn’t say how much of the 100W reaches the laptop [6].

FAQ
Will a USB-C hub work with any laptop?
Video and charging need a USB-C port that supports them. UGREEN’s own FAQ says to “confirm whether the USB-C interface of the laptop supports the charging function” [1], and Baseus says your laptop’s port must support “Power Delivery, DP Alt Mode and Data Transfer” for every feature [6].
Can I get separate screens on a Mac?
Not on the multi-output hubs here: UGREEN’s 10-in-1 shows the same image on both screens on macOS [3], and Baseus says all external monitors show the same content on a Mac [6].
Why doesn’t my laptop get the full 100W?
The hub keeps some power for itself. UGREEN says up to 85W reaches the notebook on the 6-in-1 [1] and the 10-in-1 [3]; Anker says 85W to the laptop and 15W for the hub [4]; Satechi lists up to 80W out [5].
Is a USB-C hub the same as a Thunderbolt dock?
No. See Thunderbolt 4 vs Thunderbolt 5 for what Thunderbolt adds.
