Plugged in all day and your laptop’s battery still creeps down? The charger may simply be too small for it. The number on the box is usually the total across every port, and a laptop only gets what one port can give it. In our view, that one detail causes most “my charger is slow” complaints (our opinion).
Here are six USB-C wall chargers from four brands, from 65W to 160W, set side by side using what UGREEN, Anker, Baseus and Satechi publish.
Quick picks (our editorial picks, research-based, not test results)
- Best overall: Anker Prime Charger (100W, 3 Ports, GaN). Our pick because Anker lists 100W from USB-C1 (top port), still 100W max with two ports in use, and publishes its full per-port table [4]. Mid tier.
- Best budget: UGREEN Nexode Air USB-C Charger (65W). Our pick because it’s the only Budget-tier charger here and comes with a 3.3 ft USB-C cable [1]. One port, up to 65W [1]. Budget tier.
- Best premium: UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W 5-Port USB-C Charger. Our pick because it’s the only one here that UGREEN rates above 100W to one device: “up to 140W max” from C1 or C2 [3]. Premium tier.
How we chose: research-based. We used UGREEN’s, Anker’s, Baseus’s and Satechi’s own US store product pages (cited below). This guide compares six chargers from four brands: UGREEN, Anker, Baseus and Satechi. Other brands (for example Belkin, Apple and Spigen) are not compared, and each brand sells more chargers than we list. We have not physically tested these chargers. Wattages and per-port splits are the makers’ own ratings. Check your laptop’s own charger rating before you buy.
Which charger fits
- One laptop, smallest budget: UGREEN Nexode Air (65W): one USB-C port, up to 65W, cable included [1].
- Laptop plus phone, 100W from the top port: Anker Prime Charger (100W, 3 Ports, GaN): 100W from USB-C1 (top port), 89W max with all three ports in use [4].
- Laptop plus phone, split listed in text: Satechi 100W USB-C PD Compact GaN Charger: up to 100W on one USB-C port; 60W/30W with both USB-C ports in use [6].
- Laptop plus phone, UGREEN or Baseus: UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W (100W from USB-C1) [2] or Baseus EnerFill FE11 (2× USB-C, 1× USB-A, 100W) [5].
- Big laptop or a whole desk: UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W: 160W total, up to 140W from C1 or C2, five ports [3].
- Our take: match the single-port number to your laptop’s charger, not the total on the box. That’s our reading of the specs, not a test.

Price tiers are relative to the products in this article. Each tier is based on the maker’s own US store listing at its regular (non-sale) price, checked October 13, 2026 (ET). UGREEN Nexode Air USB-C Charger (65W): one port, one laptop
UGREEN rates it at “up to 65W output” and says it charges a MacBook Air “to approximately 55% in just 30 minutes” [1]. It has a single USB-C port, foldable prongs and a 3.3 ft USB-C to USB-C cable in the box [1].
- Good fit: a thin-and-light laptop whose own charger is 65W or less.
- Trade-off: one port, so the phone waits its turn [1].

Anker Prime Charger (100W, 3 Ports, GaN): 100W from USB-C1 (top port)
Anker’s spec header reads “Total Output: 100W Max (Top Port USB-C1)”. It lists “USB-C1 / C2- 5V⎓3A /9V⎓3A /15V⎓3A /20V⎓5A (100W Max)” and “USB-A … (22.5W Max)”, with “2 Ports in Use 100W Max” and “3 Ports in Use 89W Max” [4]. It gives the size as “1.7 × 1.1 × 2.7 inches” (not including the prongs) and the weight as 6 oz / 170 g [4]. Anker also says its “ActiveShield 2.0” monitors temperatures “3 million times a day” [4]; that’s Anker’s claim, which we haven’t verified.
- Good fit: a laptop up to 100W on the top USB-C port, plus a phone.
- Trade-off: with all three ports in use the total drops to 89W [4], and Anker’s page doesn’t state the USB PD version.

UGREEN Nexode Pro 100W 3-Port Charger: laptop plus phone
“The USB-C1 port unleashes a 100W to a single device,” UGREEN says, and the charger has 2x USB-C and 1x USB-A ports [2]. It has a published size (71 × 43 × 33 mm) and a full protocol list (PD3.0 and PPS on both USB-C ports) [2].
- Good fit: a 14- to 16-inch laptop plus a phone from one wall socket.
- Trade-off: the 100W is the total, so with three devices plugged in, the laptop gets less than 100W [2]. UGREEN’s per-port split is shown only in images on its page, so we don’t quote it.

Baseus EnerFill FE11 3-Port USB-C Fast Charger 100W
Baseus lists “2× USB-C & 1× USB-A ports” and 100W, and says its “BPS 3.0 smart power allocation tech dynamically delivers optimal power to each connected device” [5]. That’s Baseus’s description; the page shows the actual per-port figures only in images, so we don’t quote them.
- Good fit: a laptop plus two smaller devices, if Baseus’s image split suits your laptop.
- Trade-off: no size, weight or PD version in the page text [5].

Satechi 100W USB-C PD Compact GaN Charger
Satechi’s “Speed” specs read: “1 x USB-C PD connected – up to 100W”, “2 x USB-C PD connected – up to 60W/30W”, “1 x USB-C PD + 1 x USB-A connected – up to 100W/12W” and “2 x USB-C PD + 1 x USB-A connected – up to 60W/30W/12W” [6]. Satechi says that to reach 100W “you’ll need to use an E-Mark USB-C cable” [6].
- Good fit: one laptop plus a phone on USB-A, where the laptop keeps up to 100W [6].
- Trade-off: plug in a second USB-C device and the laptop port drops to 60W [6]. Satechi lists it at 11.2 oz, against Anker’s listed 6 oz [4][6].

UGREEN Nexode Pro 160W 5-Port USB-C Charger: the desk hub
UGREEN lists “total 160W overall output,” with “C1 & C2 single port” support “up to 140W max,” across 4 USB-C ports and 1 USB-A port [3]. Its touch display shows total output, per-port power, the active protocol and temperature [3].
- Good fit: a power-hungry laptop (UGREEN names the MacBook Pro 16-inch and gaming laptops [3]) or a desk with many devices.
- Trade-off: UGREEN’s page gives no dimensions or weight, so we can’t compare its size with the others.

How to choose
| If you… | Look at |
|---|---|
| Have one thin laptop and travel light | Nexode Air 65W [1] |
| Charge a laptop and a phone together | Anker Prime 100W [4], Satechi 100W [6], Nexode Pro 100W [2] or Baseus FE11 [5] |
| Charge two laptop-class USB-C devices at once | Check the two-port split: Anker lists 100W max total [4]; Satechi lists 60W/30W [6] |
| Need more than 100W to one laptop | Nexode Pro 160W (up to 140W on C1/C2) [3] |
| Run a laptop dock or hub off USB-C | Check its pass-through rating too: see our Thunderbolt 4 vs 5 guide |
Our take: a multi-port charger on the desk, next to a monitor arm, clears a lot of plug clutter. (Opinion, not a test result.)
FAQ
Will a 65W charger work on a laptop that came with a 100W one?
It may charge more slowly, or not keep up under heavy load. Check your laptop maker’s guidance. The Nexode Air’s rating is up to 65W [1].
Does “100W” mean every port gives 100W?
No. Satechi, for example, lists 60W/30W when both USB-C ports are in use [6], and Anker lists 89W max with all three ports in use [4]. The 100W is the most the charger gives in total.
Do I need a special cable for 100W?
Satechi says you need an E-Mark USB-C cable to reach 100W [6]. Check the cable’s rating for any 100W charger.
Are these GaN chargers?
UGREEN, Anker and Satechi describe theirs as GaN [1][2][3][4][6]. Baseus’s page text doesn’t say [5].
